Mayfield Schools

Mayfield students attend school in the Wellington Unified School District 353. Wellington is home to five elementary schools, a middle school and a high school. Wellington is a 4A school district. Wellington students can participate in football, cross country, Scholar’s Bowl, FFA, Band and many other activities.

Mayfield is a quiet town with a beautiful view of the Kansas landscape. With a population of 111 (2013), everybody knows each other in Mayfield. The Mayfield community is a close-knit community that enjoys local attractions including the Wellington Lake, Lake Afton Public Observatory, and Starlite Drive-In.

Mayfield Transportation

Mayfield is just off of Highway US-160 and is less than 20 minutes from Wellington. Harper is 30 minutes to the west of Mayfield. Wichita is a 50 minute commute. Mayfield sits 30 minutes north of the Oklahoma border.

Mayfield is home to the Mayfield Grocery & Meat Locker. Mayfield Federated Methodist Church serves Mayfield and the surrounding area. Wichita Area locations including the Lake Afton Public Observatory and the Starlite Drive-In are less than 45 minutes from Mayfield. Mayfield enjoys a short 10 minute commute to Wellington Lake.
